Module Overview

High Performance DAC is a root module that forces Qualcomm WCD9xx audio codecs into high-performance modes by adjusting kernel-level parameters. It disables aggressive audio power management to reduce latency and transient distortion, relying entirely on existing sysfs paths without artificial software processing.

I've been running this on my daily driver, and the difference is pretty stark if you use wired IEMs and hate that slight delay or static pop when audio wakes up. Under the hood, it just flips existing kernel toggles to stop the DAC from constantly going to sleep, which eats a bit more battery but gives you far better playback stability.

Core Features

  • Pure sysfs tweaks: Changes rely strictly on existing kernel parameters instead of slapping another EQ or DSP on your system.
  • Reduces audio latency by keeping your hardware DAC clocks active longer under heavy playback load.
  • Stable operating states give you fewer sudden volume jumps or rapid power gating issues.
  • Zero software processing guarantees you are getting the raw hardware capability of your Qualcomm chip.

Support & Requirements

  • Supported Devices: Qualcomm SoC devices (WCD9xx family audio codecs only).
  • Root Requirement: Magisk or KernelSU.
  • Kernel Compatibility: Your specific kernel (stock or custom) must explicitly expose high-performance audio flags in sysfs for this to work.

How to Install

  1. Download the latest High Performance DAC .zip release.
  2. Flash the file directly through your Magisk or KernelSU manager app.
  3. Reboot your device to apply the kernel changes.
